So i thought the tug of war thign we did today was kinda fun....its alot to concentrate on, deciding how big the rope is, where to hold iut, how too look like its real...it took alot of trying
I thoght it would be alot easier to dig with an imaginary shovel, but I found myself always screwing up how to hold my hands. If I really had a shovel, then I would have been bending the crap out of the handle. Lastly, I'm ashamed and saddend that my friend Rob could not mirror the hand stand.
The tug-of-war exercise was difficult because there was a lot of things to think about while I was doing it. I had to think about what I was doing and pay attention to my partner in order to react to what he was doing. Pretending to use a hammer was harder than actually using one. The exercises we did involved an extreme amount of concentration.
The rope excercise was surprisingly hard. The hardest part I found about it was trying to make the rope not seem "elastic" if you kept making the rope different sizes then it made it look less real. It was actually quite tiring doing this excercise because you do exert quite a bit of energy. I think though over the next few classes this excercise will actually get easier.
I also thought the rope excerise was hard. It took alot of effort and strength to make it look like you were holding onto a rope and then having it pulled. I think if we used our imaginations a little more and tried to see the object it would help out alot. So today I was sitting in convo and was reminded how some times we have to act things out when we dont really know we are or others dont know when we are. My friend for example took her fork and thought she had food on it but really didnt. She stuck it in her mouth and began chewing. I saw what she had done and I asked her what she was chewing on because there was no food on her fork. She told me she didnt want anyone to know she accidently didnt eat anything on that bite so she decided to cover up her mistake and chew. I found it pretty funny especially since we are do things like that in class.
