Talking
Talking was a very strange thing to add to our acting. In normal conversation talking seems so natural and unavoidable, but when we added it to acting it was very strained and awkward. I thought about everything I said, and wondered if that is how I would actually act in a real situation. I think adding talking to our acting is going to be fun but a lot of work.

I didn't think that being allowed to talk would cause such a problem. It creates this feeling of questioning yourself, is what I’m saying making any sense or fitting the situation at all? I realize now that not talking was nice because we didn’t have to be concerned with saying something stupid or mixing our actions and words properly along with everyone else’s. I felt that my acting out of being a DJ was very poor. Haha that is something that needs some attention. I think that the talking will obviously open up many more possibilities in class but will be a total new challenge.
I also agree that talking added a whole new vibe to what we were doing on stage. Its hard to act natural and say something that you would normally say in that situation. It will be interesting to see how this weeks activities go if we continue to talk during them.
When we added talking to our class it was almost like, "oh yea i forgot as humans we were able to communicate through words!" Its hard for a person like me to not try and be funny, because that's just what I tend to do when I'm in situations such as this. I'm looking forward to see how we advance with this in class.
I am nervous about this talking thing. But oh well!
