Age Exercise

I thought everyone did a wonderful job today during the age/bus exercise. It was very enjoyable to watch and you could actually tell how old most people were portraying to be. When we were first writing down numbers I didnt realize what they were for but once we started the exercise, I really enjoyed it. I hope we do more activities like this soon!

I had no idea either when we had to fill out those numbers! I thought that was a really neat activity. It threw us off too because we thought we were just going to write down something else for us to act with but it was just a number. We wernt given any other info but to write a number any number. I thought everyone did a great job at portraying their age. Its strange how we all have a different view of how older and younger people act but yet we can determine from looking at how a person is acting how old they are and agree with each other. I hope that made sense? But good job today!

Blaine did an awesome job at the bus stop. For a second, I really thought that he might have been an old man. I was really hoping that somone was going to have to be a baby.

Yes, the age exercise was pretty phenomenal; I think the views that we all have about how one would act at certain age is interesting. I guess this shows up more for the older ages that none of us have obviously experienced yet so therefore it is more difficult and all on our personal idea about the age. After I was done doing my solo act of 72 year old man I thought about it and realized I acted much older than that. I know that personally at 72 I don’t want to be feeling that old. So I guess its that I found out that it is hard to really judge the age you are shooting to act out. Especially when we all tend to put everything 65 and older in its separate class labeled old. I think the more we do this and the more thought we put into it the better we will be at pinpointing ages.
