I wasnt really sure about the class at first, but I think I am really going to enjoy it. I wasnt sure about it because I have not had much acting or any knowledge of acting in my past. I think that i was probably a tree in a play, maybe in kindergarden, but I dont think that counts as having some sort of acting background. I also had "tah-te" stuck in my head also. Haha I even told my roommate about it. I cant wait for Thursday to see what we will be up to...

Janice, I agree with you. This is going to be an enjoyable class. At first I was unsure, I even ruled it out before class started. I was prepared to drop it, I had the papers in my bag ready to be signed. But I showed up today to give it a shot, and I was lead to think that it's not too shabby. I guess it is because the class is so out of the norm when one thinks of a "college class." I feel that it is a great chance to let go and just have a good time. Bring on Thursday with something that feels more awkward than being stared at by others and standing in a circle while singing "tah-te."

I also had "Tah-te" stuck in my head today! I really enjoyed that exercise. When I first signed up for this class I was really nervous about it but after today Im really glad that I decided to take it. So many of the classes that students are required to take are very stressful but I think this class with give us a chance to learn, relax, and express ourselves through a different light. I think this class is going to offer us a new way to learn but at the same time enjoy ourselves and have fun!

It was great class today. I really enjoyed getting back to the days of doing excersises like I did in high school. I can't wait to see what we will do next and I know it will be fun.

I agree with all of you. This class definitely isnt what I thought it was going to be. I had a friend who took it last semester telling me about all the readings she had to do and that sort of stuff. I'm thrilled that we get to step out of comfort zones in such a different way. I really think this class will not only be fun, but give me different ideas of how to make my future classes loosen up on stressful days. I also already taught some of my teammates the "whiz, bang" game!!I'm so excited for Thursday!

I too was really surprised by the class. When I signed up for it I was really excited, but as time for the class came nearer I became more apprehensive. I was afraid to act out, for fear of it not being “cool,” but I can tell that that will not be a problem in this class. I am really excited for the confidence it will give me in groups. I can wait for the rest of the class.

I really enjoyed the class. It wasn't even close to what I expected, I expected short little acts and plays. This class definately seems like it will be very enjoyable. But I am am confused with the blog, I posted yesterday immediately after class, but it must not have gotten through??? All in all, I am excited!

Me being not the brightest person in the world... I can not figure out how to get this blog thing down. I hope just stating a comment on this certain blog is good enough. But class was a riot. I havn't had that much fun in a class since gym class in high school. I am definatley looking forward to the rest of the year!!

When I signed up to this class I had no idea what to expect. I was planning on busting out my acting skills by performing a role of Romeo or Hamlet, or something of that nature. I was a little nervous coming to the class, but I was pleasantly surprised as the class progressed. I'm not gonna lie, the "tah-te" portion of the class was a little different, but it was funny. Also standing in front of everyone was akward, I was happy when I was given something to do by counting the lights. Overall I'm looking forward to the class this semester and the class will definately "wake me up" in the morning.

Everyone is right on the money. From what I have seen, this is the most awesome class at AU hands down. It definately wakes us up in the morning. I think the key thing that I will take away from this class is the ability to feel more comfortabe while public speaking. If you can stand in front of a class chanting "tah Tae" and not feel nervous or stupid, then we've all gained some self-confidence. I've never been in any other class with so much dialogue between the students and the professor. Usually the professor is the only one talking. I'm looking forward to the rest of the semester.
